Sweet Cravings Benefit The Glory House

For the last several years, members who visit our office, either through the drive-thru window or inside, have had the opportunity to purchase the World’s Finest Chocolate Bar offered in five different varieties. Each year, profits raised from candy bar sales are distributed to different local charities. In 2021, Dixie Electric raised $3,725 by selling these sweet treats to benefit The Glory House of Laurel.

Glory House Global Outreach has one mission: Love God, love people. Operated by Grant and Hope Staples, The Glory House offers various services and ministry facets for anyone who desires to serve others. They own and operate The Bread of Life, a food pantry serving up to 1,200 families a month with non-perishable food items. They also oversee Restore Jones County, a non-profit organization long-term disaster recovery agency comprised of representatives from volunteer, private sector, business, community-based, and faith-based organizations dedicated to connecting recovery resources with community needs to ensure that even the most vulnerable in our community recover from disaster.

Dixie Electric is thankful for members like Grant and Hope Staples, who answered the call to love their neighbor. For more information on how you can donate or serve, visit The Glory House Website.
