I believe that every organization should be driven by a mission and a sense of purpose. At Dixie Electric, our mission is you. Our team feels a strong connection to our community and our members because we live here too.
While many of our community-focused programs and activities, such as our 12 Days of Christmas fundraiser for foster backpack programs, ramp up this time of year, we have several programs and services in place to help our members year-round. I’d like to remind you about some of these offerings in hopes you’ll find them beneficial.
We hope you’ll take advantage of SmartHub, an app that empowers you to monitor, manage and pay your energy bill conveniently through your phone. Another service we offer is prepaid metering, which is intended to help budget your monthly energy costs. Dixie Electric members can pay for electricity before it’s used, then use the electricity until the credit expires.
We also offer energy efficiency programs to save you money and energy. Comfort Advantage offers cash incentives to members who build energy-efficient homes or replace the heating/cooling system in their existing home with an energy-efficient heat pump.
In addition to helping members save today, we’re also focusing on the future. We’ve covered much ground this year, bringing fiber-to-the-home high-speed internet to over 2,000 Dixie Electric members. We are encouraged by the fantastic response we’ve received and are excited to continue to link members with DE Fastlink.
Lastly, we take great pride in the investment we make is in our local youth. Dixie Electric has logged countless hours supporting schools, youth clubs, and programs. Each year, through our Youth Tour program, we send high school juniors to Washington, D.C., for a week-long immersion to experience democracy in action.
At the heart of all of these programs is you––the members we proudly serve. Looking back, I’m grateful for so many wonderful community partners and for the positive impact we can continue to make.
